Attention all ATAF Members. . .

We are excited to announce the theme of “General Medicine” for the Annual ATAF Symposium April 13-15, 2007 at the Orlando/Altamonte Springs Hilton. We have some OUTSTANDING speakers already scheduled and are looking for some athletic trainers with specific case studies that would be willing to present. Speakers will receive 10 CEU’s for presenting.  Space is limited. If you are interested, please contact Elizabeth Swann at swann@nova.edu ASAP. We would like to team ATs with a physician and will offer some “technology” assistance with the presentation if requested.

Please consider taking advantage of this unique opportunity to network with you colleagues.

Congratulations are in order. . .

We would also like to congratulate Marisa Brunett in her re-election to the position of SEATA vice president!   Thank you Marisa for your continued service to our profession!

Vote now!!!

If you are a member in good-standing you are eligible to vote in the ATAF elections.  Remember your ballot must be postmarked Nov. 30th.  Please get it in the mail today if you have not already done so.

HELP!!!

The NATA is asking for the help of all athletic trainers and others who care about our profession in soliciting the support of our elected officials for the new legislation,  Access to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services Improvement Act of 2006, S. 3963.

The process is easy.  Just log-on to

It’s that time again. . .

ATAF would also like to remind all members that NATA membership dues are due on December 31, 2006.  Please go to the NATA website (www.nata.org) for more information or to pay on-line.  Pay on time, on line and save $5 on your dues plus be entered for the drawing for free airfare (up to $500) for the ’07 convention in Anaheim, CA, free lodging at the hotel of the NATA’s choice for up to four nights during the convention and free symposium registration.  Also, this year the NATA is offering a “pay in increment” plan to help ease the financial burden.  Again, look for details on the NATA website.
