Fun Florida Facts!

  • Florida has the longest coastline of beaches in the US, no matter where you are, you’re never more than 60 miles from salt water.

  • Florida has the highest rate of lightning strikes in the country (make sure you have proper tools implemented for outdoor sports coverage ATC’s!)

  • Jacksonville, Florida, is the largest city in the US in land mass.

  • Florida is the only place on the planet where alligators and crocodiles live together.

  • Florida has set the world record for most consecutive days of sunshine (768 days in the late 1960’s), while St. Petersburg, FL specifically gets an average of 361 days of sunshine per year (practice safe sun y’all!)
