Regional Representatives
Eligibility
To become a Regional Representative of ATAF, an individual must be a member of the NATA, have an NPI number, be a Licensed Athletic Trainer by the Florida Department of Health, be in good standing with the BOC, and live within the state of Florida. Additionally, the NATA membership address for Regional Representatives must align with the region of the state for which they represent.
Selection
The Regional Representative(s) shall be elected via ballot on the ATAF website by a popular majority vote of those active and retired members.
Assumption of Office
The newly elected Regional Representative(s) will begin their term the first of January following the election.
Term
The Regional Representative(s) may be elected to no more than two (2) consecutive two (2) year terms.
Functions and Responsibilities
● Serve as a member of the Executive Board.
● Assist in decision making for all initiatives, financial activities, processes, and procedural activities for ATAF.
● Represent the regional membership at Executive Board meetings.
● Serve to distribute information from the Executive Board to regional membership.
● Approve the appointment of committee chairs.
● Approve the appointment of special committees deemed necessary for the completion of special association projects.
● Continually evaluate and define the roles and functions of all officers, standing committees and special committees.
● Receive recommendations, suggestions, and requests from membership and makes recommendations to the President for their inclusion in the agenda of the Executive Board meetings.
● Continually evaluate the goals and objectives of the association and accept primary responsibility for progress towards these goals.
● Has voting power.
