Attention Athletic Trainers –2020 is a FLODH renewal year!  Please see the valuable and NEW information about CE reporting and renewal below.

Last year, the FLDOH Board of Athletic Training modified Rule 64B33-2.003, Florida Administrative Code, Requirements for Continuing Education, regulating the CEs for Athletic Trainers.  Changes are effective for the September 2020 reporting cycle for license renewal of Athletic Trainers and eliminated the requirement for face to face contact hours for CE and the mechanism of reporting CEs in CE Broker favor ATs across the state.  Please review the guidelines and specific process available on the Board of Athletic Training website and process instructions HERE

Key highlights include:

  1. ATs can update CE Broker with certification information and upload a copy of the BOC card, current Emergency Cardiac Care Certification, and 2-hour approved Medical Errors course completion to fulfill the CE reporting requirements for license renewal (see upload process document HERE ).

  2. The administrative code eliminated the need for a minimum percentage of CE activities occurring face to face during the biennial reporting – all laws and rules affecting the AT profession can be found on the resources tab.

  3. Activities deemed appropriate for CEs by the BOC meet expectations for FLDOH reporting.

If you have questions regarding the FLDOH license renewal process for September 2020, please contact Janet Hartman at Renewal information is available on the FLDOH Board of AT website
